Job Description

Scale Shore Consulting is seeking a talented and passionate WordPress Developer to join our growing team. You will work closely with both new and existing clients to create well-designed, user-friendly websites and landing pages, primarily for service-based lead generation businesses and e-commerce websites. This role requires experience in WordPress, Shopify, and Wix, with a focus on optimising for conversion and user experience.

Role responsibilities:

Web Development: Build and maintain websites and landing pages on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and other platforms, using custom coding when necessary (PHP, JavaScript, HTML).

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO): Work with the directors to improve website designs and functionality based on Google Analytics, ad performance insights, and user behaviour analysis. Optimise websites to improve conversion rates by analysing user drop-offs, optimising checkout processes, and running A/B tests.

Design Implementation: Build Figma designs and then convert into responsive, functional web pages. You don't need to be a designer but must have a good eye for design, including mobile optimisation and user experience principles.

API & Third-Party Integrations: Integrate third-party tools, including subscription models, payment systems, CRMs, and email platforms to enhance website functionality and optimise the user experience.

Custom Coding & Plugin Development: Write custom code for features that cannot be achieved through plugins or when custom coding is more cost-effective.

SEO & Performance: Ensure websites are optimised for SEO, fast-loading, and secure. Follow best practices to ensure optimal performance.

Conversion Tracking & Analytics: Set up Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking on Google and Meta ads, and use Google Analytics to track and optimise key metrics, ensuring continuous improvement of website performance.

Security: Ensure websites are secure, implementing SSL certificates, backups, and adhering to web security best practices to safeguard data and ensure site integrity.

Website Migration & Hosting: Manage website migrations and optimise hosting solutions for scalability and performance, ensuring reliable, fast, and secure websites.

Client Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients to understand their needs and explain your work, ensuring a collaborative approach to website improvements.

Desired Experience (Not required):

Email Marketing: Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or Omnisend is a plus.

Performance-Related Pay: In addition to your salary, performance-based bonuses will be available for meeting deadlines, exceeding client expectations, and achieving KPIs such as leads or revenue generated.
