Job Title: VANS Wholesale Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary:

As a VANS Wholesale Marketing Coordinator, you will provide valuable support to the Trade Marketing Manager in implementing trade marketing strategies and programs to drive sales and brand awareness within the retail and wholesale channels. You will assist in coordinating various trade marketing activities, including retail partnerships, point-of-sale materials, promotions, and market analysis. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for effective trade marketing.

Key Responsibilities: * Retail Partnerships: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with retail partners, ensuring strong collaboration and support for brand initiatives. Support in the development of joint marketing programs, promotions, and events to drive sales and enhance the VANS brand within partner stores.

  • Point of Sale (POS) Materials: Assist in the development and distribution of compelling and effective POS materials, including signage, displays, and merchandising guidelines. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure materials align with brand standards and drive consumer engagement and conversion in-store.
  • Retail Training and Education: Assist in the coordination of training programs and tools for retail staff to enhance product knowledge, brand messaging, and sales techniques. Support in organizing training sessions and providing ongoing support to ensure consistent brand representation at the retail level.
  • Promotions and Incentives: Support in the planning and execution of consumer promotions and incentives to drive traffic, conversion, and loyalty within the retail and wholesale channels. Collaborate with the trade marketing and sales teams to develop impactful promotions and track their effectiveness.
  • Market Analysis: Assist in conducting market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights. Support in utilizing data and market research to identify opportunities and make recommendations for trade marketing strategies and programs.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Assist in the planning and coordination of trade shows, industry events, and sales meetings. Support in managing logistics, booth setup, and promotional materials to ensure impactful brand representation and engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the Trade Marketing Manager, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing presentations, and maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Assist in collecting data and analyzing the performance of trade marketing initiatives, promotions, and events. Support in preparing reports to track progress, measure effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and product, to ensure alignment and integration of trade marketing initiatives with broader brand strategies.
  • Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, retail practices, and trade marketing strategies to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the team.
AD Hoc duties:

  • Professional interaction and liaison with customers, suppliers and employees at all times
  • Any other reasonable and lawful ad hoc tasks or duties that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or internship in trade marketing, retail marketing, or marketing is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of retail landscape and marketing strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyze data.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Passion for the VANS brand and an understanding of its target audience and culture.
