Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehousing operations. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage stock control, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, supervise staff, and contribute to achieving customer service and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehousing operations including stock control, cycle counts, and stocktakes.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO and other stock management principles.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuing of stock in line with company procedures.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure database integrity and accurate reporting on SAP/ERP systems.
- Monitor compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and develop warehouse staff including drivers, forklift operators, and pickers/packers.
- Maintain effective customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor expenditure and contribute to cost control initiatives.
- Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field (NQF 5).
- 5 years experience in Warehousing/Inventory/Logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP/ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and develop staff effectively.
