Warehouse Operative
(Permanent position)
The Warehouse Operative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. This includes
loading and unloading trucks
,
accurate put-away of stock
,
order picking, packing, and dispatch
, and
timely delivery of goods
to both internal teams and external customers.
The position requires working in a
safety-conscious environment
with
seasonal temperature changes
, a
high level of overtime
, and regular
physical activity
such as lifting, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
The Warehouse Operative will be reporting to the Receiving Supervisor. This post is based at the Epping, Warehouse, Cape Town.
Principal accountabilities
Order Fulfilment
Physically receive orders from suppliers delivering to warehouse, both local and international.
Pick orders according to SAP instructions
Pack and release orders
Loading and offloading of trucks
Stock Control
Pick and put away stock and replenishments
Move stock as required
Perform cycle counts & full-stock counts.
Maintenance
Maintain machines
Maintain all warehouse equipment
Qualifications and experience
National Senior Certificate (Matric) or NQF 4 level equivalent
1 year experience in a warehouse working environment
Knowledge of receiving, customer services, order fulfilment, shipping (dispatch), distribution process, stock management.
SAP experience
Data capturing experience
Microsoft office suite (MS excel)
