Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse and Commercial Manager for a permanent role based in Hammarsdale, KZN. The application deadline is Tuesday, 5 December 2023.

Role Overview: As the Commercial Manager, you will lead all operations at the location, ensuring the smooth functioning of the store while optimizing profits. This role involves overseeing policies and regulations, conducting hiring, scheduling, and training. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of various areas, including sales, accounting, staff training, reporting, inventory management, quality control, and staff morale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, and training processes.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and implement quality control measures.
• Demonstrate strong people management skills.
• Handle raw materials, including dangerous goods.
• Utilize Sage system for enhanced efficiency.
• Foster a positive working environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• 8-10 years of warehousing experience.
• Previous management experience (3-5 years).
• Knowledge of Warehouse Operations and Inventory Control.
• Forklift driving experience (Counterbalance & VNA).
• Safety Management and Equipment Maintenance skills.
• Proficient in MS Office suite: Excel, Share Point, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong commercial and accounting exposure relevant to supply chain and logistics.
• Experience handling dangerous goods.
