Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Operate the tumblers and ensure lint free cloths are placed in the tumblers during the tumbling process, resetting the HMI to resume the cycle.
- Remove product from tumblers, drying trollies, decant into specified containers and label
- Verify product identification and batch numbers on tumblers and trolleys
- Wash capsules with solvents in a capsule washer as per schedule.
- Do pre-start-up checks on the Visual Inspection System including the metal detector tests.
- Continuously inspect all products in blue bins as per SOP before packing onto pallets
- Sort capsules manually on the sorting table to identify defective capsules according to SOP
- Record relevant data on MES according to SOP
- Dispose of rejected capsules according to SOP and track the weight of rejected capsules.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the department
- Inspect and clean all equipment in the Visual Inspection area, sorting area and ensure safety devices are working effectively.
- Label all containers and trollies to avoid cross contamination
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Basic Computer literacy
- Previous sorting experience
- 1-year previous experience in a FMCG or pharmaceutical environment
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
- Production documentation, reconciliation and processes.
