Strubens Valley Animal Hospital is a well-equipped three-vet practice located in the heart of the West Rand, Johannesburg.

We are looking for a professional, friendly, and reliable Receptionist to join our fantastic team!

We require a candidate who is flexible and comfortable with alternating weekly shifts, which may include:

Split shifts (e.g., morning and late afternoon); Weekend shifts
The receptionist is often the first point of contact for pet owners, making this a critical role in shaping the client experience and maintaining the reputation of the practice in the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist clients and visitors in a professional and warm manner Answer and direct telephone calls efficiently Schedule appointments and manage the client journey Complete front office and back office administrative processes accurately Maintain the reception and shop area, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment
Requirements and Skills:

Grade 12 / Matric essential 2-3 years' experience in a client-facing role; experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous Bilingual in English and Afrikaans Computer literate, with knowledge of reception and switchboard systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Well organised, dependable, and able to adapt to a rotating schedule, including weekends and split shifts
