Job Description

Outworx is looking for a UK Claims Agent within the Insurance industry.



The Claims Agent will play a crucial role in managing and resolving insurance claims within the UK property sector.

Key Responsibilities

Claims Processing

: Handle incoming claims from policyholders, ensuring all required documentation is collected and reviewed.

Investigation

: Assess the validity of claims by investigating circumstances, reviewing policy documents, and analysing evidence.

Customer Interaction

: Communicate with clients to explain coverage, claim status, and next steps. Provide guidance and support throughout the claims process.

Negotiation & Settlement

: Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, legal representatives, or third parties.

Compliance

: Ensure all claims are processed in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Record Keeping

: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim activities.

Fraud Detection

: Identify potential fraud or misrepresentation and escalate as necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of insurance policies and legal protection products. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Analytical thinking and attention to detail. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Familiarity with claims management systems and basic office software.

Completed and Passed Matric or NQF Level 4. Valid South African ID Prior claims handling experience Call Centre/ BPO: 1 year + (Required)

Advantageous

UK Claims handling: 1 year + (Preferred) UK Property Insurance experience will be advantageous Fluent in English, both written and verbal * Exceptional phone etiquette and problem-solving skills
