Trails Guide – Exclusive 5 Star Safari Lodge – Madikwe Game Reserve
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading guided walks and game drives while ensuring guest safety and delivering unforgettable wildlife encounters. When not guiding, the Trails Guide will assist in general lodge operations, including maintenance support. This position requires professionalism, integrity, and a deep respect for nature and conservation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct guided walks and game drives, ensuring world-class guest experiences.
Uphold the highest safety and ethical standards in all guiding activities.
Share in-depth bush knowledge and passion for conservation with guests.
Assist in general lodge duties and maintenance when required.
Deliver exceptional service and act as an ambassador for the lodge brand.
Package & Benefits
Salary:
R12,000 - R14,000 per month (dependent on experience).Live-in accommodation (single, furnished).
Meals and uniform provided.
Work cycle:
6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.21 days annual leave per annum.
Medical Aid (Discovery KeyCare) - 100% employer contribution after 3 months.
Provident Fund - 5% employer and 5% employee contribution.
No pets, partners, or dependents permitted.
FGASA Level 2 (NQF 4) or equivalent qualification (flexible for the right candidate).
Lead Trails Guide qualification (essential).
Valid PDP , First Aid , and DEAT registration for the North West province.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a 5-star lodge environment.
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
Trustworthy, well-presented, punctual, and reliable.
Own reliable transport.
Between 5 - 7 Years
