Our core capabilities are Design, Simulation, Assembly, Integration and Testing. We are looking to expand our Thermofluids Department with a dedicated and hands-on mechanical engineer with experience in rocket system design and analysis.

Responsibilities
The main duties to be performed by the successful candidate will be:
Detailed aerodynamic design and analysis of guided and unguided rocket systems and similar high-speed vehicles.
Code maintenance of in-house numerical solvers (six-degree-of-freedom flight simulation and internal ballistic simulation).
Collaborating with other departments on multi-disciplinary projects.
Preparation of project design reports.
Writing design/project reports.
System level testing support in RSA and at the client abroad.
Assist with systems engineering and project management tasks.
Assist with manufacturing requirements and quality assurance.
Liaising with client(s) and supplier(s).
Guidance and training of client(s) engineers.
Requirements
Execution of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to the position demands the following experience, skills and knowledge:
BSc. in Engineering, preferably a M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 3 years' relevant experience in design and analysis of rocket systems or similar aircraft.
Experience in CFD modelling (preferably ANSYS).
Programming experience in Python and C.
Experience working on large datasets and/or batch processing of CFD.
Experience working on aerospace projects with strongly inter-dependent systems.
Innovative design abilities.
A meticulous detailed approach.
Fluent in English .

In additional to the above, the following will be advantageous:
Experience in rocket systems or aircraft design.
Experience in creating aerodynamic models for flight simulation.
Experience in planning wind tunnel testing and/or validation of CFD results.
Experience with instrumentation and testing.
Experience in CAD modelling.
