Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To perform day to day Mechanical Operator tasks and activities as specified according to operational procedures and requirements.
QUALIFICATION(S) & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics and Science
Experience:
At least 1-year relevant experience in a chemical plant environment with regard to equipment maintenance. General knowledge of the technical field.
Ideal Requirements
Qualifications:
(Same as minimum plus the following)National Diploma
Training:
Relevant registered skills programs or unit standards successfully completed
Experience:
At least 2-3-year experience relevant to the technical field
HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS:
Prepare work area for an Artisan Use correct equipment and tools for purpose of grinding, cleaning off fabricated equipment. Interpret sketches and specifications. Carry out breakdown maintenance Dismantle/replace/repair/assemble and fit engineering equipment/components Able to work with workshop equipment, cranes, Forklift, hoists, slings and job-related tools. Ensure quality of work and safety standards are adhered to. Ensure general Housekeeping and clean-up after work is always completed. Prepared to perform Standby duties as scheduled.
