Minimum requirements:Bachelor of Engineering degree/higher degree in Engineering from accredited universityProfessional Registration with ECSA essentialMinimum 10 years of professional experience in transportation infrastructure with a strong background in geometric designIn depth experience of Government standards, codes and documentationSpecialist knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and Open Roads Design Software or similarKnowledge of web-based project cost control and financial systems (BST)Experience in design management and design delivery for projects and managing professional teams of medium/large projects, would be beneficialKnowledge of QA and OHS requirements on engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include:Responsible for the general management of medium/large transportation infrastructure projectsLook after budgets, resourcing and outsourcing of project work within the section, as well as agree project budgets with other sections on large projects comprising multi-disciplinary project teamsAuthor competent technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational qualityCheck work of all those in the project team and take responsibility for their workPresent / represent their technical workSupervise Engineers or Technicians in undertaking checks and inspections of constructed works for compliance with design and specifications, including monitoring and proposing remedial actionsDevelopment and/or improvement of function group specific design proceduresSubmission of tenders and proposals for functionWin and deliver projects for the FunctionDraft successful responses to bidsClear knowledge of work procedures and ability to brief project team on themRegular client contact and management of client relationshipsSuccessful identification and following through on leads associated with additional workClear understanding of local functional engineering environment and marketsTrain others in respective functional field and build a teamCoordinate work between functionsDevelopment and/or improvement of function group specific design proceduresShould you meet the above requirements, please send a detailed CV to engineering.jobs@mspstaffing.co.za or call Roxanne/Hannah/Stella on 021 555 0432.or email us: engineering.jobs(at)staffingprojects.co.za
