Job Description


Our client has an opportunity available for a Technical Sales Support Manager based in Modderfontein, Gauteng.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years' experience in a technical position in the global automation industry.
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering or commissioning with automation products or systems.
  • Ability to translate match technical requirements on a customer site.
  • General knowledge of customer products, applications and processes in the Power, Water, Oil or Gas sectors.
  • Good knowledge in contract and risk management.
  • Ability to accurately estimate the costs of products, systems or service offerings.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, implement and review local sales support strategy, define key targets and ensure their achievement for customer support.
  • Ensure most competitive offers taking into account the market situation and customer's conditions.
  • Identify which approach can be applied to better serve the customer.
  • Oversee the validation of terms and conditions in each offer.
  • Support bid or no bid analyses and decisions and participate in project risk review processes.
  • Ensure support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers.
  • Provide technical support and clarification as needed.
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, skilled and directed.
