Job Summary:
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting technical products and solutions within the construction industry. The role combines sales expertise with technical knowledge to deliver value-driven solutions, build long-term client relationships, and achieve sales targets.
Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in technical sales within the construction and mining industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, or technical solutions.
  • Must have experience applying for tenders and the processes.
  • Proven sales track record and ability to meet targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications (advantageous).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites and clients.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction and civil engineering sectors.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, contractors, engineers, and consultants.
  • Present and demonstrate technical products and solutions to clients.
  • Provide technical advice and product support tailored to client requirements.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tenders.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms in line with company policies.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Conduct site visits to assess client needs and provide technical recommendations.
  • Liaise with internal technical, logistics, and operations teams to ensure successful order fulfilment.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using CRM systems.
  • Provide after-sales support and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
