Technical Sales Rep (Adhesives) - Montague Gardens - Market-Related Salary

A leading manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of adhesives, sealants and DIY products since 1963 is looking for Technical Sales Representative.

Technical Experience:

• Strong technical/industrial experience needed

• Knowledge of Volatile Organic Compound

• Excellent knowledge of different types of glues/adhesives

• Sound knowledge of different types of textures, such as wood, plastic, paper and cartooning boxes and boards. The rep would need to know what type of glue will match the various different textures according to the customers' business products.

• Lab/Chemical experience would be very advantageous. This rep will constantly liaise with our lab to find the best possible solution and adhesive that will meet the clients' requirements which will be in direct competition with our competitors.

Salary/Package Info:

• Basic salary up to a maximum of R55K with commission (the first 3-6 months will be a fixed basic until the rep's monthly target is determined)
• Monthly commission is calculated at 2.82 % of GP. Earning potential between R8000 - R13000)
• Company car ORtravel allowance will be provided (to be determined at the offer stage)
• Petrol card covering all fuel costs
• 13thcheque
• Quarterly incentive bonus calculated as follows:

o More than 105 % of target - R5000

o More than 110 % of target - R7500

o More than 115 % of target - R10000

Key Qualifications and experience required:

• Min 5 years technical sales experience required in this or similar Industry with a proven track record i.e. Paper & Packaging or chemicals
• Preferably existing customer contacts and market knowledge
• A technical background in chemistry or related industries
• Knowledge in the adhesives industry, preferable but not mandatory
• Excellent organizational skills and well-developed interpersonal, communication and selling skills
• Technical and/or Sales & Marketing post matric qualification advantageous
