An industry leader in the mechanized irrigation sector which is based in the NORTH WEST PROVINCE and within the Potchefstroom area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Technical Sales Manager
Experience
The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years' experience as an engineer in a technical and sales role within irrigation and water hydraulics sector. Proven management within these fields will be advantageous.
Experience with Global Mapper, Modelmaker/Irrimaker and Excel will be advantageous
Formal qualifications
A B.Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Mechanical engineering
A qualification within sales and marketing will be advantageous
Holder of a Project Management Certificate
Valid driving license code 08
Own transport
A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbent's fitness status to work
Experience within the agricultural sector will be advantageous
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking systems
Responsibilities
Working closely with the different departments to establish a department budget
Encourage sales through marketing campaigns and address customer complaints
Have regular meetings with sales and technical team members to review monthly goals, and cultivate sales pitches
Understanding customer needs
Present technical solutions based on customer needs
Managing client relationships
Collaborating with engineering teams
Ensuring technical feasibility of the proposed solutions
Collaborate with the product development team to understand the product features and benefits
Participate in shows, conferences and client meetings to promote products and services
