TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. Purpose of the position:





Responsible for overseeing and providing data driven performance reporting that will direct and enhance the work undertaken by frontline staff at selected sites, ensuring optimal use of available resources and an improvement in the HIV program performance. Responsible for setting up the necessary ICT infrastructure for this project so that the data management and performance reporting remains secure. To assess the situation, design and deploy the performance reporting mechanisms, build the team and get organisational adoption at selected sites.

Minimum Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field A minimum of 4-5 years working experience across multiple sectors Experience in the health sector overseeing and managing relevant projects Local knowledge and experience of Eastern Cape context is advantageous Working knowledge of South African data protection legislation, including POPIA Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities



Technical Authority: Serve as the primary technical lead responsible for the design, development, and deployment of the HAST reporting architecture Solution Implementation: Lead the hands-on configuration of data pipelines, performance reporting and processing environments to ensure rapid delivery of project outputs Information Integration: Conduct assessment of existing departmental data sources, systems, and data flows. Design and implement appropriate data integration processes consolidating information from multiple provincial health information systems Reporting & Data Analytics: Develop analytics and reporting solutions addressing HIV/TB programme performance data requirements across clinical, HR, financial, and operational domains Quality & Security Assurance: Define and enforce technical standards for data handling, security compliance, and system performance Strategic Technical Advisory: Act as the primary interface between technical requirements and executive stakeholder goals * Infrastructure Delivery: Lead procurement, deployment, and configuration of secure on-premise server infrastructure, including hardware specification, vendor engagement, and installation oversight
