Requirements



National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Registered as a candidate with ECSA. 3-5 years' relevant experience. Driver's license: Code B/EB.

Key Performance Areas



Conduct inspections and maintenance tasks by

communicating with supervisors, interpreting work orders,



and planning activities.



Carry out inspections for high consumption queries,

transposed meters, and general meter room maintenance,



advising on repairs or replacements.



Test and calibrate LV and MV metering installations according

to SANS 474 specifications, ensuring accuracy and conformity.



Implement planned maintenance programs for meter rooms,

ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.



Maintain accurate records of jobs, materials used, and

service orders through SAP, ensuring proper documentation



processing.



Process requisitions for materials, tools, and equipment

not stocked by the council to ensure timely availability of



resources.



Prepare investigation reports, maintenance programs, and

manage operational documentation like vehicle logs and



time-sheets.



Perform risk assessments and ensure safety documentation is

completed before and during on-site work, ensuring staff



compliance with safety protocols.



Mentor staff, ensuring adherence to quality and safety systems,

and provide guidance to peers and junior staff.



Ensure proper installation, fault-finding, and commissioning of

metering and measurement equipment, including remote



interrogation systems.



Fault-finding of remote communication devices and verifying the

accuracy of meter readings.



Understand and execute SAP processes for task execution,

creating and completing technical orders.
