ENERGY ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION
SENIOR TECHNICIAN: MEASUREMENT OPERATIONS
BASIC SALARY: R532 737 TO R560 139 PER ANNUM REF NO: NRG 124/25
Requirements:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• ECSA registration as Professional Engineering Technician (Pr Techni Eng)
• Class 4 Meter Worker certification
• Five (5) to eight (8) years (post first relevant tertiary qualification) CT and VT metering experience
• South African Code B driver's licence.

Key performance areas:

• Provide specialised functional support in accordance with SANS 474: "Code of Practice for electricity metering" in the execution of duties
• Understand and execute SAP processes pertaining to the execution of tasks
• Supervise staff by risk assessing and completing required safety documentation, monitor activities, manage staff in absence of management
• Support the measurement function by ensuring correction installations, fault-finding, commissioning and recommissioning
• Support relating to specified organisational units such as Measurement Operations and Measurement Automation
• General administrative functions including budgeting and reporting.
