Computer literacy: MS Office Suite (Especially Excel), SAP and MS Outlook
Diploma in purchasing, supply chain or relevant trade test and technical buying experience
Procurement, SCM, Financial and Management Courses
Technical/Manufacturing environment experience
Work in consultation with Engineering and Maintenance teams to identify, develop and implement SLAs with appropriate vendors and service providers
Work in conjunction with the warehouse manager, engineering and maintenance teams and procurement department to establish standard stock requirements and set minimum and maximum stock levels
In consultation with Senior Procurement Officer, establish and follow yearly tender process for stock products and establish consignment stock or stock holding
Communicate with production and engineering teams to determine required materials, tools and equipment necessary for Shutdown or projects is sourced and carried in stock
Carry out various tasks delegated by the Senior Procurement Officer accurately and within deadlines
Consult with workshop and stores supervisors to ensure minimum stock levels of spares, equipment and consumables is adhered to and replenished timeously
Follow and adhere to company procurement policies
Liaise with Senior Procurement Officer regarding any price increases, non-conformance with SLA or supply failures
Liaise with the Finance department regarding pricing, payments and shortages and GIT
Update SAP system with costs, amounts and product types
Compile and complete SLAs, Vendor Credit Applications, and any related documentation
Conduct regular supplier audits and price checks
Research and source new/better/cheaper products and suppliers and present new ideas to SCM management team
Record stock and spares levels, and usage and report concerns
Driver's License and own vehicle
Willing to travel
