Assist the qualified mechanic with maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and petrol passenger vehicles
Support with roadside and onsite breakdown repairs when required
Help manage workshop tools, equipment, and consumables
Ensure adherence to workshop safety and operational procedures
Uphold strict integrity and accountability when handling diesel and company resources
Assist with record-keeping, job cards, and maintaining workshop cleanliness and order
Requirements:
Valid Code 14 drivers licence
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply technical knowledge
Experience assisting mechanics in a heavy-duty and/or passenger vehicle environment advantageous
Willingness to be on standby and travel for breakdown callouts
Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
Excellent references from previous employers (essential)
Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!!
