Job Summary

The Team Leader - Debt Reconciliation is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of debt reconciliation officers or field agents to ensure accurate account reconciliation, timely recovery, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on performance management, quality control, and operational efficiency while maintaining ethical collection practices.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of debt reconciliation officers/field agents Assign daily targets, territories, and case allocations Monitor reconciliation progress, recovery performance, and accuracy of records Review and approve reconciliation reports, settlements, and payment confirmations Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical debt recovery standards Conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance reviews Handle escalated customer cases, disputes, and complex reconciliations Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Legal, Compliance) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and reconciliation reports Train new team members on processes, systems, and best practices Ensure proper documentation and data confidentiality
Requirements & Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in debt collection, reconciliation, or credit control At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and recovery cycles Knowledge of relevant debt collection laws and compliance standards Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM systems, or reconciliation software

Working Conditions

Office-based with periodic field coordination May require extended hours during peak recovery periods
