Job Description
Introduction
A well-established Accounting firm based in Pretoria East is looking for a Tax Accountant with post-articles tax and accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax. Proven ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Education: Membership with CIMA or SAIPA, or SAIT.
- Completed articles at an accredited accounting or auditing firm.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years post-articles tax and accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax. Proven ability to liaise with SARS and manage audits.
- Strong understanding of South African tax legislation (Income Tax Act, VAT, PAYE, Customs & Excise).
- Skilled in preparing and submitting tax returns (individual, corporate, provisional, VAT, PAYE, EMP501, IT3t's).
- Strong accounting knowledge, including financial statement interpretation and reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of SARS e-filing.
- Skilled in accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- High ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
R18,000 - R30,000 CTC pm. (Depending on qualifications and experience.)
