We are seeking a

dynamic, hands-on Tasting Room Manager

to lead our tasting room team and ensure every visitor enjoys an unforgettable experience that reflects the quality and character of De Wet Cellar.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. Deliver engaging and informative wine tastings and tours to visitors. Drive wine sales and meet monthly sales targets. Supervise, train, and motivate tasting room staff to maintain excellent service standards. Manage inventory, stock control, and point-of-sale systems. Plan and coordinate tasting events, promotions, and private bookings. Develop and maintain relationships with visitors, wine club members, and tour operators. Handle administrative tasks including cash-ups, reporting, and stock ordering. Collaborate with marketing and production teams to promote brand awareness and product launches.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality, retail, or a wine-related environment (management experience preferred). Strong wine knowledge or a willingness to develop in-depth product expertise. Excellent communication and people skills with a customer-first attitude. Ability to lead a small team effectively and handle busy periods with professionalism. Organised, proactive, and sales-driven. Proficient in POS and basic administrative systems. Weekend and public holiday availability required.
