Job Summary Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager Location: Franschhoek, Western Cape Salary Range: R25 000 and R30 000 CTC A wine estate in Franschhoek is seeking an experienced and passionate Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager to lead the guest experience and drive direct wine sales. This role combines leadership, hospitality excellence, and data-driven management to ensure that every guest interaction reflects the quality and character of the estate's wines. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring a seamless, elevated, and memorable guest experience Recruit; train, and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability Deliver premium, personalised wine tastings and experiences through expert storytelling, product knowledge, and warm hospitality Manage and grow the Wine Club, ensuring strong member engagement, retention, and sales performance Collaborate with sales, marketing, and events teams to support promotions, private functions, and targeted sales initiatives Manage and maintain the accuracy, presentation, and functionality of systems such as Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS Ensure effective stock control, merchandising, and product presentation aligned with brand standards Handle guest feedback, group bookings, and VIP engagements with professionalism and attention to detail Monitor and report on sales performance, visitor data, and team productivity, providing strategic insights to leadership Uphold compliance with health, safety, and service standards across all tasting room operations Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' management experience in hospitality, tourism, or the wine industry Strong operational knowledge and hands-on experience with Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS systems Wine qualifications such as WSET Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) essential Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team in a service-driven environment Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on operational efficiency and profitability Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Genuine passion for wine with a commitment to ongoing education and industry involvement Professional; confident, and well-presented in high-end guest interactions Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and special events as required To apply, please upload a copy of your updated CV and recent profile photo along with any written or telephonic reference.
