Job Description


Purpose of Role To identify, attract, and select exceptional individuals to join Tharisa Minerals, by collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies and assist with onboarding processes and help ensure a smooth transition for new hires into the organisation. To develop recruitment strategies, post job openings, conduct interviews, assess candidates' qualifications, and coordinate the hiring process, in collaboration with hiring managers to understand job requirements, source candidates through various channels, and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies. Role Context Resource Management

  • Provide input into required changes in resources (financial or non-financial) to enable the achievement of team and/or own objectives.
  • Request and allocate required assets and/or resources for the fulfilment of work objectives to guarantee quality outputs.
  • Monitor the use of assets and resources within the team and own area of responsibility, to ensure assets and resources are consistently and appropriately utilised and managed.
  • Provide staff with day-to-day direction and tasks aligned with Departmental procedures, to enable the usage of less resources more efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a talent profile across the entire organisation, by documenting all employee talent data (i.e., work history, education, career interests, achievements, etc.), so as to provide management and professional staff with a tool and the opportunity to identify ideal internal candidates best fitted for certain roles and/or teams, based on where their skills and/or interest lies, and where they can add the most value.
Recruitment and Selection Management
  • Identify staffing needs, in collaboration with the hiring managers of each department, to ensure that the most suitable candidates are sought after to match the organisationxe2x80x99s requirements.
  • Create compelling job descriptions, by determining the key requirements and selection criteria, to identify the most suited individuals with the required skills, experience and education as identified by the responsibilities of the various positions with TM.
  • Advertise available positions by posting them on various job boards, company websites, and relevant platforms (i.e., social media, industry/ professional networks), to actively source potential candidates.
  • Lead and develop TM branding initiatives, by capturing the unique career experience and TM culture, using communication strategies that establish and extend the xe2x80x9cTharisa Minerals brandxe2x80x9d message, to improve the requirement experience via digital platforms and attract top talent to fill vacant positions.
  • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates' qualifications against job requirements, by using interviews, assessments, and other tools to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and plan interview procedures, and design interview questions that are linked to the various job descriptions, to ensure that the interview remains focused on the related rolexe2x80x99s key accountabilities and what is required of the potential incumbent to achieve those accountabilities.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, to provide guidance to interview panels and ensure a consistent and fair interview process.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process and help newcomers integrate into the organisation, by collaborating with the broader Human Resources (HR) team and hiring managers, to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Organise and attend job fairs and recruitment events, to attract learners, interns and apprentices and advertise all available bursaries that TM has to offer.
Stakeholder Relations
  • Communicate with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of speciality. Liaise across the relevant Departments by engaging with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders remain abreast of Departmental objectives, any potential derailers are appropriately managed and duplication of work is avoided.
  • Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with potential candidates, by providing timely updates and feedback to candidates, to create a positive candidate experience and keep them engaged throughout the recruitment process.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates, to enable potential employment of highly sought after individuals in the future.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and industry organisations, to tap into diverse talent pools.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers, by understanding their staffing needs, developing job profiles and aligning on candidate requirements, to provide them with hiring progress updates and share insights to optimise the recruitment strategy.
Data Management and Analysis
  • Stay updated on industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices in talent acquisition to ensure a competitive recruitment approach.
  • Manage and maintain the Application Tracking System (ATS), by assessing and reviewing candidate information (i.e., contact details, resumes, assessment results, etc.), to ensure that the system data is accurate, updated and available when needed.
  • Report on the recruitment progress and effectives, by maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, feedback and recruitment metrics, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Forecast and report on quarterly and annual hiring needs of the various TM departments, by evaluating all recruitment related statistics, to ensure alignment with the overall labour plan and to keep management and hiring managers informed of the talent latest developments.
Compliance Management
  • Monitor compliance with relevant labour laws and regulations while promoting diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process, to ensure that the recruitment process remains fair, unbiased, reliable and transparent.


Qualifications:
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma (NQF6) or equivalent in Human Resources Management or any equivalent and relevant qualification
Job specific experience:
  • Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 full-cycle recruitment experience within the Mining, Construction or Engineering Industry
  • Ability to work with the full Microsoft suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
