About the Company
A national manufacturing and distribution company within the automotive industry is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Shift Supervisor to manage and coordinate warehouse operations during assigned shifts.
Role Overview
The Shift Supervisor oversees warehouse, transport, and inventory activities ensuring that operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. This position involves leading a team, maintaining stock accuracy, and driving performance to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage shift operations including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
Allocate staff and resources to meet workload demands.
Monitor inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping, and operational standards (5S).
Ensure on-time dispatch and adherence to delivery schedules.
Lead, train, and develop staff for continuous improvement and performance.
Prepare shift reports, KPI updates, and communicate effectively with management.
Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Management (NQF 56).
Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and warehouse processes.
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work shifts and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
