Our client in the Engineering industry is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team in Sasolburg

• Manage and control the stores department, ensuring adherence to processes, procedures, and accounting protocols to minimize stock losses.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to expedite deliveries, ensuring timely receipt at the correct locations.
• Eliminate obsolete and off-spec materials and reduce aging material.
• Plan and schedule inventory activities, including stock counts, transactions, and audit reporting.
• Develop and analyze reports, implementing new policies, procedures, and methods to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain open communication with other Operational Departments.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations, including hazardous materials.
• Supervise proper loading and preparation of orders for shipment and delivery.
• Review and maintain documentation for quality processes.
• Manage the fleet of delivery vehicles and consumable stock levels.
• Provide feedback to management on stock levels and delivery dates.
• Maintain AX stock systems and balance monthly.
• Organize Data books and Quality specifications for stock items.
• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers and maintain a supplier database.
• Keep a register of Forklift and Overhead crane licenses for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timely GRN processing for received goods.
• Identify and implement personnel training requirements.
• Liaise with transporters for goods collection and delivery.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and SOX compliance

Desired Experience & Qualification

Supply Chain Management Degree/Diploma
At least 5 years experience in a purchasing/supply chain management function.
People management experience.
Negotiation skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Project
