Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
- Must have previous experience in Logistics and Supply Chain within the agrochemical industry
- Strong management skills with the ability to work independently are important for this role.
- Good communication and writing skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, are important
- Collaborating with international supply planners and logistics colleagues to establish, plan and manage demand and production schedules.
- Responsible for inventory and 3rd party warehouse management.
- Importing products internationally, dealing with freight forwarders and clearing agents.
- Coordinating distribution within SSA region, negotiating rates and managing transporters, road, sea and air freight.
- Performing inventory management including stocktakes, managing expiry dates and preparing stock movement reports.
- Importing samples for trial purposes.
- Providing customer services by managing price lists, preparing purchase orders and release notes, and ensuring continuous communication.
- Forging a relationship with the team in Mauritius.
- Relabeling products for international Southern-African market.
- Collaborating with customers on national level to provide an exceptional service and communication within delivery dates of imported stock.
