Supervisor: Warehouse
Job Purpose:
To plan, co-ordinate, manage and report upon the work activities of the team providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development. To direct, co-ordinate and plan the operation through effective scheduling of employees, planning of all functions, manage and control of employees and supervisors. To optimize all resources to ensure that the operation is managed effectively and that customer service standards are achieved and maintained. Ensure that all contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. To work in conjunction with the Managers to monitor, develop and allocate work to a group of subordinates in specific areas.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the operation.
Meet and exceed operational service levels and manage the cost of labour.
Drive and develop team culture.
Delivery of Key Performance Indicators.
Quality Control.
Compliance with statutory and Company Policies and Procedure
Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures.
Active participation in stock counts i.e. Planning, Preparation and Physical counting of stock.
Ensure daily and weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished.
Pallets - Assist in Disputes for Chep raised by the Customers.
Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams.
Delivery of safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for Team Members.
Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization.
HR Issues - Managing Industrial Relations.
Ensure all Inbound loads are correctly put away and confirmed to a reserve location.
Support and maintain the implementation of OMS on site.
Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization.
Translate, analyze and deliver customer needs through effective operations.
Performance Indicators
Achievement of operational performance as defined by customer contract and KPI's - timeline & accuracy.

Experience
+/- 5years Logistics / Warehousing experience
Three (3) years' experience in a similar role and or environment
Computer Literacy
Communication Skills
Ability to work within rapidly changing environment
Deadline driven
Administrative knowledge and skills
Accurate data capturing
Attention to detail
Good written and communication skills
Enforcement of Health and Safety procedures and identify hazards Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles / responsibilities
Ability to work under pressure
SAP system Knowledge and Experience
Requirements
Matric - Essential
Tertiary qualification (Logistics / business)-desirerable
3-year experience in a similar role and environment
Languages
* English - verbal and written.
