About the Role
We're seeking a Strategic Marketing Program Lead based in South Africa to execute visionary marketing campaigns that deliver impact quickly and consistently. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is at the center of our marketing engine, managing high-profile launches, strategic funnels, and large-scale campaigns with precision and creativity.
The ideal candidate is a strong operator who can connect strategy to action, align cross-functional teams, and bring clarity and quality to every initiative. This role requires exceptional marketing instincts, sharp project management skills, and the ability to drive momentum through people, processes, and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Launch Execution
Oversee all deliverables for the Book Launch, Software Launch, and Marketing Services funnel.
Transform visionary ideas into actionable plans with clear timelines, owners, and deliverables.
Partner with sales and other teams to ensure aligned execution across channels and collateral.
Marketing Funnel Management
Build and optimize campaigns across the entire funnel, from awareness to conversion.
Analyze funnel performance, identify weaknesses, and adjust campaigns to maximize impact.
Create key assets such as nurture sequences, landing page briefs, lead generation tools, and sales enablement materials.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
Review all marketing outputs (copy, visuals, design) to maintain high standards.
Ensure consistent messaging and branding tailored to professional optometric audiences.
AI-Enhanced Workflows & Team Management
Integrate AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Midjourney, etc.) to accelerate content and campaign execution.
Lead and mentor 3 internal team members while managing a network of freelancers and contractors.
Build scalable systems and repeatable processes for increased efficiency.
Marketing Operations & Cross-Team Delivery
Maintain campaign momentum with precise task management, deadline tracking, and team accountability.
Collaborate across creative, tech, content, and sales teams to eliminate bottlenecks and drive outcomes.
Use tools like Notion, Airtable, and Slack to create visibility and streamline operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years in marketing program management, growth marketing, or campaign operations (experience in startups or fast-paced environments preferred).
Strong marketing instincts and the ability to evaluate creative output for quality and impact.
Proven success running multi-channel campaigns, including email, content, paid, and web assets.
Deep knowledge of funnels, lead generation strategies, and conversion optimization.
Ability to lead launches independently with urgency and polish.
Skilled at leveraging AI tools to extend capacity and accelerate workflows.
Demonstrated success managing small teams and external contributors.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-moving environment.
Work Requirements
Location: South Africa (remote work).
Full-time availability, with flexibility to align with key team members in other time zones.
