Steel Fabrication Supervisor - Rustenburgricators, coordinate with project managers, and ensure the timely and efficient completion of fabrication projects while maintaining high-quality standards.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the activities of the steel fabrication team, including fabricators, welders, and fitters.Plan and schedule fabrication tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.Ensure compliance with fabrication procedures, specifications, and quality standards.Monitor the quality of fabricated components through visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.Provide guidance and technical support to the fabrication team, assisting with problem-solving and resolving any fabrication-related issues.Collaborate with project managers to determine project requirements, allocate resources, and develop fabrication schedules.Review fabrication drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.Manage material inventory, including ordering and tracking materials needed for fabrication projects.Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment, adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.Stay updated on industry trends, new fabrication techniques, and advancements in equipment to improve productivity and efficiency.Requirements:Proven experience as a Steel Fabrication Supervisor or a similar role in the steel fabrication industry.Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.Familiarity with fabrication codes and standards, such as AWS D1.1 and AISC.Proficient in reading and interpreting steel fabrication drawings and blueprints.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Understanding of safety regulations and practices related to steel fabrication.Should be able to conduct dimensional checks.Conduct welding inspections.Be able to write inspection reportsKnowledge of quality control and inspection techniques in steel fabrication is preferred.Certification in welding or fabrication-related fields is a plus.Job Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Rustenburg, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
