Job Description


Role purpose:

Establish and maintain event, incident and problem management processes for Financial Services & IT Operations in Africa Service Operations Centre (ASOC) Fault Management across Vodacom OPCOs.

Your responsibilities will include:

To provide level 2 technical support to monitoring team
Onboard new services.
To plan, deploy and maintain Service Operations automations
To apply service management tools effectively toward fault diagnosis and resolution
To notify and escalate major incidents as per the fault handling and escalations procedures
To liaise with internal and external teams toward fault resolution
To continually evaluate and improve existing processes and systems
To analyse and report on routine and ad hoc investigations
To keep up to date with changes and evolving FinTech & IT architecture
To display awareness of various functional areas and key support personnel

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Technical / Professional Qualifications:

Certification in Information Technology / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification will serve an advantage.
3 - 5 years experience in IT Operations

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Fintech products and services
Strong experience in digital (web, mobile, app) platform technologies.
Experience IT infrastructure and applications support.
Solid interest and aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work and creative thinking.
Application support and service management
Service management
Telecommunications technology
Information Systems essentials
Application Performance Monitoring
Event and Incident data analysis essential
