Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

A key role supporting the GFCAM in ensuring controls compliance and an effective internal control environment across the Liquid Group by means of detailed reconciliation review processes. Ensure all operating controls are adequate and in place across the Liquid Group internationally.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL REPORTING AND CONTROLS
Review of OPCOs monthly reconciliations to ensure operating controls are in place and adequate and to ensure audit-readiness.
Assist in improving accuracy of the reporting by identifying and eliminating inconsistencies between OPCOs through detailed review of reconciliations.
Attend monthly financial review meetings with OPCOs and assisting to provide feedback on financial reporting and audit-readiness.
Review control and audit issues raised in external and internal audits and assist with remediation of control deficiencies and audit issues. Review the control issues relating to the implementation and monitoring of new accounting standards.
Responsible for supporting the GFCAM in clearing all internal and external audit findings.

FINANCIAL REPORTING, CONTROLS AND SYSTEMS
Assist in managing and maintaining the FloQast controls and reconciliations system. Liaise with internal users and troubleshoot system issues. Work with external systems teams to update system.

DUE DILIGENCE, STAKEHOLDER REQUESTS
Assist with preparation of the Board Meeting Packs.
Assist with preparation of due diligence requests, shareholder or other stakeholder requests for financial information.

CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification ideally with Board/Professional Membership

Financial reporting experience in a large group company environment
Solid technical experience ideally within the Telecommunications industry
Sound knowledge of financial accounting rules and regulations
Ability to work cross-functionally and in a matrixed organisation
