Job Summary Key responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing the full kitchen operation
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff with hands-on involvement
  • Ensure high-quality food production and consistent presentation
  • Monitor food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Assist in maintaining food cost and labour targets
  • Foster guest satisfaction and team development
  • Contribute to menu planning and creative culinary direction
Education & experience
  • Matric or equivalent with 4 years' experience in culinary, food & beverage, or related field
OR * 2-year diploma/degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or similar + 2 years' relevant experience
  • Practical experience whilst studying.
  • Prior hotel or boutique property experience is advantageous
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
