Job Summary ? Sous Chef / Cafe Chef - New Italian Restaurant - Somerset West ? Salary: R20;000 Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef / Cafe Chef to join a brand new Italian restaurant in Somerset West. This role is perfect for a hands-on chef who wants to be actively involved in kitchen and menu development and take full ownership of the kitchen operations. ? Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the kitchen team ? Develop and refine the menu, including breakfast, lunch, and early dinner service Prepare and cook high-quality dishes consistently Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health standards Interact with guests to enhance the dining experience Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste ? Key Requirements: Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant environment Strong culinary skills with knowledge of Italian cuisine Hands-on; proactive, and able to manage a team Excellent communication and guest interaction skills Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards ?
