Location: Fourways, JohannesburgA leading ISP is looking for a dynamic Snr NetOps Engineer to join their awesome team. This Snr NetOps Engineer role includes ensuring that Core network operations are reliable by monitoring network performance, performing planned maintenance, proactively identifying and repairing network difficulties and using automation tools to enhance operational efficiencies. Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in informatics/ Diploma in Information Technology
JNCIP SP or JNCIP Ent (or above) (VALID)
CCNP Service Provider (VALID) or CCNP Enterprise (VALID)
Security certification is a nice to have (NSE 4)Experience:
Very strong routing and switching skills within ISP environment: Configuring, Implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting
Experience working on the Core Network: Monitoring network performance and identifying and repairing network difficulties
SOLID experience is crucial (ideally 5+ years within an ISP environment) using network protocols for routing and switching including BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, VPN
Very strong routing and switching skills within ISP environment: Configuring, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting
Strong network security experience working on FortiGate or similar firewalls
Experience attending to escalated issues
Experience in Network automation and scripting languages such as Python or similar
Understanding of BNG and Subscriber Management technologies within an ISP environment is a nice to have
Mentoring junior Network Engineers
