Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Manager

A medium-sized

Manufacturing Company based in Durban North

is seeking a

Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Manager

to join its management team.

This is a

hands-on role

requiring a highly

detail-oriented, methodical, and analytical

finance professional who is comfortable working closely with Directors and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Full bookkeeping function up to management accounts Processing payments and managing daily cash flow Managing

creditors and debtors

, including active follow-up with debtors on outstanding accounts Preparing financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries for Directors Liaising with Directors on a daily basis regarding financial performance and operational finance matters Processing

wages and salaries

, including statutory deductions and submissions Ensuring compliance with relevant financial, payroll, and labour legislation Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and year-end processes Maintaining and improving financial controls and internal processes

Requirements:

Proven experience as a

Senior Bookkeeper or Finance Manager

Strong working knowledge of

Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll

Solid understanding of

South African payroll and financial legislation

High level of attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at Director level Ability to understand and support

operational finance within a manufacturing environment

Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently
