Job Description

A reputable property company in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Manager with at least three years' experience to lead and manage the finance function. The company operates across property development, investment, and management, focusing on delivering high-quality services and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Manage the full finance function, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and working capital.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and support property portfolio financial management.

Qualifications & Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (BCom Accounting/Finance).
• Professional qualification preferred
• Minimum 3 years' experience in financial management, ideally in the property or real estate sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and property accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
