Small Plant Operator (seasonal)

Job Description
Maintain, operate and care for a variety of machinery and equipment and perform various tasks and
duties in compliance with applicable policies and procedures to deliver an effective maintenance
services to public facilities and open places within the eThekwini Municipal Area.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Ensures that all machines, tools, stores and materials required for set tasks are collected and
- Maintains public land, facilities and infrastructure using small plant and equipment to ensure
- Maintains allocated small plant and equipment in a clean and functional condition.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations are complied with.
- Assists members of the general public, ensuring the public are safe, satisfied and informed.
- May be required to work overtime.
- May be required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to be physically fit and healthy to perform all manual and physical requirements of the

Essential Requirements
- An appropriate level of primary education.
- Certificate of competence in the operation of small plant and equipment or obtainable
- 1 Month relevant experience.
- An appropriate level of secondary education.
- 3 Months relevant experience.
