Site Manager With Mechanical/electrical Background – Food & Beverage Installations

Manage the full lifecycle of equipment and pipeline installation projects on client sites.
Supervise subcontractors and teams of fitters, welders, and electricians.
Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and ensure quality of workmanship.
Plan day-to-day site activities and coordinate with the project team.
Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and safety officers.
Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and food-grade installation standards.
Manage tools, materials, and timelines effectively on-site.
Solve on-site issues quickly and efficiently.
Travel to project sites (mostly in Africa) for extended periods when required.

Candidate Requirements:

Trade-Tested Artisan (Millwright preferred, or Electrician/Fitter with cross-skill experience).
National Diploma or N6 Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (advantageous).
Project or Site Management training or certificates (advantageous).

Experience:

Minimum 510 years in site-based installation roles.
Experience in food and beverage process systems or hygienic installations is essential.
Must be comfortable with both mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Must be willing and able to travel frequently, sometimes for extended durations.
