Qualification:

Matric
Minimum 4 years experience in the Plumbing and Construction Industry
4 years experience as a QS in the plumbing and construction industry
Sound knowledge of construction processes, plumbing systems and industry standards
Proficiency in estimating
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Certified professional estimator
Construction specifications Institute (CSI) Certification
Plumbing or construction related licenses
Ability to review blueprints and construction plans
Occasional site visits required, involving exposure to construction environments

Experience:

Ability to tender on plumbing and building projects
Manage and control costs within construction projects from initial planning to completion
Prepare detailed cost estimates, manage budgets and negotiate contracts and ensure projects are completed within budget and to quality standards
Analyse project plans and specification to determine material costs, labour requirements and project timelines
Liaise with stakeholders
Ensure compliance
Contract administration
Financial reporting
