Introduction
Komatsu has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shipping Controlller with a Shipping or Supply Chain & Logistics 3-4 years' experience in a shipping (Imports, foreign debtors and/or creditors) environment.
Qualification

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Shipping/Supply chain & Logistics. (Advantageous)

Experience

• 3 - 4 years' experience.

Specific Knowledge Requirements

• Microsoft Office & SAP Proficient.
• Administration in a logistics/shipping/import - export environment.
• Basic knowledge of foreign exchange.
• Proven knowledge of South African Reserve bank rules/legislation.
• Basic Financial Experience: Grade 12 Accounting or similar.
• Strong administrative skills.

Summary Description of Role

• Keeps air, sea and road freight imports/exports registers updated.
• Keep abreast of new legislation regarding exportation and importation issued by SARB and any changes to the INCO terms.
• Administrates the shipping process for all imports/exports.
• Assisting freight consultants.
• Liaise with customer & Finance regarding Letters of Credit or Bank Guarantees.
• Arranging logistics for parts and components.
• Liaising with stakeholders in the process when parts are ready for dispatch.
• Obtaining and checking invoices (foreign vendor, clearing agent).
• Monitors the progress of deliveries vs due dates.
• Checks and verifies correctness of parts and that all documentation is correct and complete with the necessary authorisations.
• Arranges logistics for parts and components being imported.
