Oversee the full operations of the parts distribution center by developing and implementing strategies for inventory management, supplier engagement, sales performance, and overall profitability. Core responsibilities include leading the parts team, monitoring inventory trends, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring efficient processes that meet customer requirements and achieve departmental objectives
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor`s Degrees or equivalent NQF Level 07 business qualification. A post-degree qualification would be an added advantage or
10+ years extensive business experience in a similar environment, with at least 3 - 4 years at executive level.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the development of the company's overall
Adhere to current legal compliance, e.g. FICA regulation, POPI Act and Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and others.
Develop, implement and evolve the parts and service strategies with key stakeholders viz, dealer network and the manufacturer.
Approve supplier products and accessories for new imported products to enhance customer satisfaction.
Advise on and manage efforts to identify and improve sales of parts to the service and retail customers leading to higher profitability and improved customer satisfaction.
Develop tactical strategy and delivery plans to support multi-functional strategic objectives in conjunction with other business units.
Develop, submit and present relevant reports to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure new imported products are safe and complies to National Road Traffic Act.
Investigate product defects to determine product failures to enhance customer
satisfaction.
Manage and report on sales and financial performance.
Manage multiple service centre's and parts distribution centre's to ensure service delivery and availability of parts.
Scan market for opportunities and threats.
Develop and implement corporate governance frameworks and models in compliance with the relevant legislation, policies and business processes.
Direct the implementation of brand awareness and corporate identity.
Grow and maintain relationships with the principal.
Increase dealer profitability as well as the Importer.
Finance:
Develop the multi-functional budget to ensure that the strategic deliverables are adequately budgeted for.
Monitor and track expenditure and pricing models to maximise cost benefit ratios and increase shareholder value.
Compile departmental budgets and forecasts.
Review pricing strategies i.t.o. exchange rates, review costing model.
Working Capital management.
Overhead/Cost management.
Segmentation analysis.
Manage standard costing model for parts.
Manage Parts pricing and competitiveness.
Client:
Formulate integrated service delivery frameworks to ensure exceptional customer service.
Warehouse - improve efficiencies e.g. cube utilisation , peak warehouse capacity used, slotting etc.
Supply rates - improve supply rates to dealers and
Stock management - levels of stock on hand and movement of stock.
Negotiation of purchases with manufacturer, discounts, rebates etc.
Drive strategy around accessory sales and introduction of new products.
Meet with Insurers regularly
Ensure dealer network meets overall targets set by distributor in terms of parts
targets.
Manage standard costing model for parts.
Manage Parts pricing and competitiveness.
Manage/review supply chain process, logistic costs, movement of stock.
Develop and implement strategies around pirate and grey parts.
Manage service level agreements with third party
People:
Drive the development and implementation of human capability and accountability frameworks across multi functions to ensure the achievement of people management strategies.
Drive change management activities across multi value chains to ensure resistance to change are minimised.
