Job Description
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SHERQ Officer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, risk, and quality standards in the mining operation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular legal compliance checks, audits, and monitoring to prevent accidents and non-conformance
- Assist in updating, implementing, and maintaining SHERQ systems and procedures to ensure compliance
- Perform inspections, investigations, risk assessments, and control measures
- Handle planning, organizing, and administrative tasks related to SHERQ
- Analyze and report on SHERQ performance
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Safety/Risk Management
- COMSOC or SAMTRAC certification
- Certificate in ISO 45001 (Internal auditor-safety), 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental) and 31000 (Risk Management)
- 6 years experience as a SHERQ Officer in the mining industry.
- Salary: Negotiable
