The Role
As Service Engineer (Hydro), you'll take the lead in providing technical support for hydropower equipment - including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
You'll be the key interface between engineering, manufacturing, and customers, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery on-site and in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site assessments, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hydropower equipment.
Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Collaborate with project managers and design engineers on product applications and process improvements.
Lead installation and service activities on hydro plant machinery and control systems.
Identify new service and product opportunities through field interaction.
Manage customer relationships and coordinate with sales and project teams.
Maintain detailed service documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
Minimum 5 years' experience working with hydro plant machinery.
Background in mechanical, electrical, or field engineering.
Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or Quality Assurance is advantageous.
Familiarity with on-site machining and commissioning procedures beneficial.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel internationally for site assignments.
