Key responsibilities:
Coordinate service bookings and customer appointments: Manage incoming service requests, schedule vehicles and confirm customer details.
Welcome and assist customers: Provide professional frontline service, explain processes, and manage expectations.
Open and manage job cards: Capture customer concerns, vehicle details and technician instructions accura
. Communicate repair progress: Update customers on diagnostics, timelines and additional work required.
Prepare quotations and obtain approvals: Ensure customers understand costs before work proceeds.
Perform vehicle handovers: Review completed work, ensure customer satisfaction and close job cards.
Support warranty and parts coordination: Liaise with warranty clerks and parts consultants for required components or claim documentation.
Monitor and control workshop consumables: Track usage of oils, chemicals, fasteners and general workshop supplies.
Manage tool and equipment inventory: Maintain registers, issue tools and ensure proper storage and condition.
Conduct regular stock counts: Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate variances.
Place stock orders: Ensure timely replenishment of workshop consumables and tools.
Maintain accurate records: Update stock sheets, usage logs and supplier documentation.
Ensure compliance with OEM and dealership standards: Follow safety, storage and handling procedures.
Support workshop efficiency: Ensure technicians have the correct tools and consumables available at all times.
1. Qualifications & Experience
Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
Certificate or diploma in Automotive Service, Administration or related field (advantageous).
1-3 years' experience in a dealership service environment.
Experience in stock control or workshop administration (advantageous).
Knowledge of dealership systems and service processes.
Understanding of workshop tools, consumables and technical terminology.
