Job Description
The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for producing clear, accurate, and high-quality technical documentation to support internal and external stakeholders. This senior-level role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content, while also mentoring junior writers and contributing to documentation standards and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and edit technical documents including user manuals, training guides, system specifications, and operational procedures. Collaborate with engineers, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and verify technical content. Ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and aligned with company style guides and compliance requirements. Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Lead the development and maintenance of templates, style guides, and documentation standards. Review and provide feedback on documentation produced by junior writers or project contributors. Work closely with quality assurance and product teams to validate accuracy and usability of documentation. Support document version control, change tracking, and publishing through document management systems or knowledge platforms. Champion continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools. Ensure the security and confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive technical information.
Requirements
B Degree/B Tech/ National Higher Diploma/Advanced Diploma in English, Journalism, or Communications.
