Senior Technical Manager

Job Description
A KZN based IT company is in search for a driven Senior Technical Manager to contribute new ideas to the team, to ensure that customers are utilising technology efficiently, and to assist in developing their technical team.
Besides managing the technical team, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing inhouse procedures for managing the technical workload.
- Monitoring, assessing and reporting on the team's performance.
- Assisting with architecture and design of IT solutions.
- Analyzing and identifying common issues, potential improvements and enhancements.
- Assisting with sourcing external and inhouse training for the technical team.
- Assisting in planning and delivering IT roadmaps and projects internally and for clients.
- With a good technical understanding of various IT technologies Cloud (Azure/ AWS etc), Network and firewall understanding (Sophos/FortiGate etc), MS Power Platform, MS servers (SQL/AD/RDS etc.)
- With excellent problem-solving, and good both written and verbal skills communication skills.
- With the ability to analyse and identify common issues, potential improvements and enhancements.
- Who is comfortable to sit in client meetings and offer technical advice.
- Who is comfortable traveling locally for work now and then.
- Who has tertiary education in IT (Diploma, degree, or similar).
