Job Summary Design, develop, maintain and support projects using a variety of Big Data technologies. Ascertain requirements by interfacing with our internal clients Identify and research alternative technologies that potentially address the requirements Design and document architectures/applications/data-flows Develop various components (apps/scripts/sites/recommendation engines) Conduct code reviews on completion of these components Design tests for your code Support the production environment Qualifications Essentials xc3xa2-xc2xaa BSc Computer Science / Engineering is mandatory. Honors, masterxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s or doctoral degree prefered Experience xc3xa2-xc2xaa 4 xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c 5 yearsxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2 experience in a comparable environment xc3xa2-xc2xaa Experience in reporting and presentation to senior and executive management xc3xa2-xc2xaa Very strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills xc3xa2-xc2xaa Ability to work under pressure Technical Competencies xc3xa2-xc2xaa Scientific, data-minded, detail oriented with a good blend of practical reality xc3xa2-xc2xaa Proficient in problem solving, algorithmic analysis, deeply technical xc3xa2-xc2xaa Knowledge and experience building massively scalable systems xc3xa2-xc2xaa Knowledge and experience working with high volumes of data (beneficial) xc3xa2-xc2xaa Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile methodologies (beneficial) xc3xa2-xc2xaa Proven record of delivery and execution xc3xa2-xc2xaa Strong core Java skills xc3xa2-xc2xaa Strong Linux skills Languages: xc3xa2-xc2xaa Required: Java, HTML, Javascript, Linux shell scripting xc3xa2-xc2xaa Beneficial: Python, NodeJS DB: xc3xa2-xc2xaa Required: MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch xc3xa2-xc2xaa Beneficial: HDFS, Hadoop, HBase Other: xc3xa2-xc2xaa Required: RESTful service development, AI experience xc3xa2-xc2xaa Beneficial: Tensorflow, Keras, Spark, Mahout, Storm, Docker, Analytics platforms
